Summer Fun at Zuma Beach in Malibu

Come down to Malibu for a summer filled with fun, camaraderie, and fitness! Starting Saturdays in July, we provide Los Angeles County Lifeguards and top-notch triathlon coaches to help teach your team ocean swimming techniques, followed by bike rides and runs on the incredible Malibu courses.

While the summer-long Ocean Swim Clinic series is designed for Corporate Challenge teams to hang out and train together for the September event, anyone who meets the fundraising minimum of $350 for the Challenged Athletes Foundation is welcome to join.

Experience great camaraderie and learn lifelong skills while enjoying our beautiful Pacific Ocean. If you attend the entire series, we promise some graceful dolphins in your future!

Eligibility

Who Can Join?

The summer-long Ocean Swim Clinic series is designed primarily for Corporate Challenge teams looking to train together and build camaraderie ahead of the September race. But the clinics are open to any athlete who meets the fundraising minimum.

Corporate Challenge Athletes

All registered Corporate Challenge participants who raise $350 get complimentary access to the full clinic series.

Open Registration Athletes

Any registered Zuma Beach Triathlon athlete who raises $350 for the Challenged Athletes Foundation is welcome.

First-Time OceaN Swimmers

What is Included at Each Clinic?

Ocean Swim Session

Coached open water swimming in the Pacific at Zuma Beach. Focus on technique, sighting, ocean entry/exit, and race-day confidence.

🚴

Optional Bike Ride

Ride the legendary Malibu coastline on Pacific Coast Highway — the same roads used on race day — with the group.

🏃

Optional Run

Finish with a flat run alongside Zuma Beach toward Point Dume. Perfect race simulation in a stunning setting.

Be Prepared

What to Expect

On the Day

Arrive at Zuma Beach parking area. Our coaches and LA County Lifeguards will be set up on the sand. You’ll get a pre-swim briefing covering conditions, technique focus for the day, and the route.

After the swim, the group rides together on Pacific Coast Highway — one of the most spectacular cycling routes in the world — followed by an optional run alongside the beach.

What to Bring

  Wetsuit (recommended — XTERRA wetsuits available for demo)

  Swim cap and goggles

  Bike and helmet (for optional ride)

  Running shoes (for optional run)

  Sunscreen, water, and snacks

  Proof of fundraising or registration
